Our Story
GS2 Consultants was born from the vision of two engineers connected by more than just a shared academic path.
Trained side by side at McGill University in chemical engineering, we developed a natural synergy fueled by a common passion for delivering large-scale projects where technical expertise meets real-world execution.
From the beginning, our goal was clear: to build a solid, field-based team able to integrate directly into mining and industrial operations and projects.

Simon Delay-Fortier, P.Eng
With over 10 years of experience in the mining sector — and a background in the pulp and paper industry — Simon has held several key roles, including metallurgist, process engineer, project manager, and water management specialist.
He stands out for his ability to bridge operational needs with complex water system modelling. He excels at project structuring, developing mass balances, and building high-performing, integrated teams.
Simon Coulombe, P.Eng., MBA
With over 10 years of experience in water management and treatment, Simon has built strong expertise in industrial processes, energy optimization, and the reduction of water and chemical use. He excels at identifying process bottlenecks to boost production performance and has led numerous equipment sizing and installation projects in water treatment.
His sharp business sense, attention to detail, and solution-oriented approach make him a strategic partner to help take your projects further.
Kaden Pearce, P.Eng., M.Eng.
Kaden holds a bachelor's degree in civil engineering with a specialization in mining, as well as a master’s in mining engineering from McGill University. He has developed expertise in water management, risk mitigation, and environmental performance.
He brings strong field experience in mine waste management and the design of critical infrastructure.
Kaden is known for his ability to identify and implement efficient technical solutions that improve operational performance while reducing costs.
Érika Ouellet, P.Eng.
Érika holds a Bachelor’s degree in Water Engineering from Université Laval. Throughout her career, she has held various positions as an engineer, project manager, and team leader in water treatment and management. She has worked at numerous mining, industrial, and municipal sites, where she has demonstrated strong leadership in operational problem-solving, strategic planning, and operations management.
Érika also serves on the Board of Directors of the Conseil de l’Eau Gaspésie Sud. Her technical expertise, curiosity, and commitment make her a key asset in the field of water management and treatment.
