The Partnership behind GS2 Consultants

GS2 Consultants was founded by two enthusiasts of large-scale projects. The synergy developed between the two partners is not new! They both completed their Chemical Engineering bachelor's degree at McGill University in the same cohort.

 

Their goal : to develop a dynamic team that stands out through an integrated approach with operation and project teams in the mining and industrial sector. Through high-quality collaborative work, they aim to enable their business partners to carry out projects with confidence and aplomb.

Simon Delay-Fortier, P.Eng.

Engineering consultant and partner at GS2 Consultants, Simon has about 10 years experience in the mining sector. He has also worked in the pulp and paper industry.

Since his early days in engineering, he has held several key positions such as metallurgist, process engineer, water management coordinator and project manager. These roles have enabled him to develop exceptional expertise in mining sites water management. What sets him apart is his ability to bridge the gap between the needs of operations teams and the complex modelling of water management systems.

 

Simon also possesses many skills that could be described as intuitive when it comes to developing material balances, developing project structures, setting up integrated work teams and developing winning synergies.

Simon Coulombe, P.Eng., MBA

Engineering consultant and partner at GS2 Consultants, Simon cumulates nearly 10 years of experience in various industrial processes as well as in water management and treatment. 

 

During his career, he developed an expertise in energy saving as well as water and chemical products consumption reduction. He particularly stands out in the identification of industrial processes bottleneck in order to optimize production times. Additionally, he has managed several sizing and installation projects for water treatment and water management equipment for clients in various sectors.

 

His knowledge of the business world and operational challenges, his attention to detail as well as a marked interest in problem solving makes him an ally of choice to bring your projects to completion and help you exceed your objectives.

Kaden Pearce, P.Eng., M.Eng.

Kaden holds a bachelor's degree in civil engineering with a specialization in mining, as well as a master's degree in mining engineering from McGill University, where he specialized in water management, risk management and the environment.

 

Over the course of his career, he has acquired solid expertise in tailings and water management, as head of water management at various mine sites and designer of various critical infrastructures. He has overseen a number of major projects, including dam construction, fine tailings reduction and accelerated tailings dewatering. His role also involved working closely with various stakeholders, including First Nations, to ensure compliance with water management regulations and expectations.

 

Kaden excels at identifying and implementing technical solutions to optimize operational efficiency and reduce costs. Its ability to solve complex problems makes it an invaluable asset for successful tailings and water management projects.
